We race. That's why this exists.
Thirty years around paddocks — karts, cars, rally. As drivers, mechanics and team managers. racem8 is the engineer we always wanted next to us at the track.
Our story
Where we come from
It started with karts in the nineties, and it never let go. Cars, rally, back to karts, some sim racing in between. We've been behind the wheel, next to it, in the pit, and in front of the data screen.
Then our own kids started racing. Every weekend we watched good drivers leave tenths on the track without knowing where — and nobody had the time to show them.
Why we're doing this
Factory teams find their time with an engineer in the tent and data nobody else sees. Karting is where those drivers start — and most of them start with none of it.
We want every driver who takes it seriously to know where the time is, and how to take it. The rental driver chasing the track record. The club racer in their own kart. Anyone who wants to know why the driver ahead is faster.
What it does today
You drive with what you already have: a GoPro, a lap timer, or just your phone. After the session racem8 lays your laps on the track and shows, corner by corner, where the time went — against your own best and against the reference for your class.
For teams and coaches it goes past one driver: every rider on one page, the team's pit wall with live timing, the session sheet straight from the mechanic's photo. The same data, in one place, before the next heat.
Who builds it
Software for twenty years, racing for longer. Started racem8 for one driver: his son.
Makes sure what we promise actually happens.
Tells it the way a driver hears it. No fluff.
Races KZ2 and coaches juniors. Checks everything racem8 shows against practice and feel.
Eight, racing in the Czech Kart Open. Tries every new feature first — if it works for Alex, it works.
We work with several experienced voices from the Czech karting and motorsport scene. We'll name them once arrangements are confirmed.
